Months of Moxie

I so loved Project 365 that I’ve decided reinvent it for the year 2011. Instead of taking one photograph every day of the year, I’ll be following monthly themes (possibilities include portraits, black & white, food, macro). Depending on the theme of the month, I may not take a photograph every day, but I’ll strive to post a picture here each day, regardless.

UPDATED TO ADD: Unfortunately life got in the way of my Months of Moxie and I only lasted a couple months… New plan: try to take a photo a day and post here. GAME ON.

January: a month of mornings – to start off the new year, I’ll document the beginning of my days this month. I’m defining morning as the time I wake up to 11am

February: photos of the alphabet – from February 2 to 27, I’ll be posting a photograph that represents the letters of the alphabet (consecutively…starting with A ending with Z). For this project, I’ll be using photographs I’ve already taken.

March: colors — I’ve assigned a different color to each day of the week. The photos I post will represent the color of the day. The schedule is as follows: Monday – red, Tuesday – blue, Wednesday – yellow, Thursday – green, Friday – orange, Saturday – purple, Sunday – pink.

April: hiatus — I’m taking the month off from blogging in preparation for my move to Dallas. I’ll be back in May, promise!

May: food — I’ll be taking a photo of food every day. They will most likely be a picture of something I eat or drink, but not always. This turned into a big fat FAIL.

June: hiatus part 2

July: Seeing my complete inability to take any photographs the past 2 months, the goal is to take a photo every day, no matter what it is.

I love this idea, and how you’ve tweaked the Project this year. And thanks for the nice note a while back (I got lost in teaching for a bit)! I hope you like the book–I found it pretty inventive.
